NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
RELATIVE TO APPLICATION
BY THE TOWN OF GREENEVERS
FOR FUNDING UNDER THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974, AS AMENDED
Notice is hereby given that the Town of Greenevers will conduct a public hearing on March 9, 2024 at 7:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as the agenda will allow, at the Greenevers Community Center, 494 Clinic Circle Drive, Greenevers, NC 28458, relative to the intention of the Town to apply for FY2026-2027 CDBG funding under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act.
Greenevers intends to submit an application for a grant of approximately $2,000,000 in CDBG Infrastructure funds to design, construct, and administer improvements to the Town’s wastewater system consisting of replacement of approximately 2,070 LF of gravity sewer infrastructure along Brown’s Terrace Circle and Brown’s Terrace Lane and rehabilitation of the existing influent pump station and appurtenant equipment at 201 Brown’s Terrace Circle.
The following is a tentative list of proposed activities and an estimated budget. The final application will be reviewed at the public hearing.
Infrastructure Improvements and Grant Administration Estimated Budget $2,000,000
The proposed project will provide benefits to the residents of the Brown’s Terrace housing authority in the Town of Greenevers, well in excess of 80% of whom are low- and moderate-income individuals based on statistics provided by Residential Properties Management, Inc. (Brown’s Terrace housing authority management company). No individuals will be displaced, nor will any require temporary relocation assistance as a result of the proposed project.
Citizens will be given the opportunity to provide oral and written comment on the Town’s past and proposed use of CDBG funds at the public hearing. All interested citizens are encouraged to attend.

Formal written complaints or comments concerning the application process that are submitted to the Town prior to or following the public hearing will be responded to within fifteen (15) working days by the Town. A copy of the completed project application will be available for public review after April 30, 2026, at the Greenevers Town Hall located at 314 E. Charity Road, Greenevers, NC 28458.
